It shouldn't be a problem as long as you put them in the right place, in the right orientation, with clean solder joints, and without applying extremely excessive heat. The sockets are very handy in swapping out faulty parts or fixing placement errors, but they don't serve any electronic purpose in the circuit.
As for your boost module socket, is it another IC? If so, you could use one of the extras from the main PCB. If it's a transistor using a SIL socket, you can email
sales@buildyourownclone.com and let them know you have a defective socket, and they'll send you a replacement.
