I need to replace C13 -20p (don't ask) and the local supplier (JayCar / Tandy) only has 18p or 22p.

Would either value be OK? And are all caps created equal? Should I be sourcing a specific brand / type cap?

Thanks
Glen

I'll defer to the people who can tell exactly what that cap is doing in the circuit, but it is a substitution I would make without hesitation. It's within the 20% tolerance of the part—in other words, a 20p cap might measure out at 18p or 22p anyway.

Either of those values will be fine, and no need to worry about brand.
