I'm still pretty new to this, but I recently purchased a Silver Pony II and set about putting it together. To my surprise, at the end of the process when I plugged it in, it actually worked BUT, the volume was very low compared to my clean signal. So, I reflowed my solder (my soldering skill is lacking), checked the voltages of the ICs (based on what I saw on other related discussions on this board) but still low volume. I'm attaching pics of the insides (I removed the guts from the enclosure for reflowing/troubleshooting).

LED comes on when footswitch is engaged.

Signal works in bypass.

What am I missing?

Thanks so much in advance! :D

It appears to be less than adequate solder flow in your build--solder should "peek through" the component eyelets on the top side of the PCB, but many of your eyelets don't show this. My first suggestion would be to work through this process and then see where you're at: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52188

I would agree: even after your first solder reflow, a bunch of those joints still don't look quite adequate. You might need to add a bit of solder to some of them as you go through the process for a second time.

You appear to have mixed up your 15k and 100k resistors.

And the maybe a 10k resistor as well. You'll need to post better lighted pics that clearly show the resistors if you'd like us to tell you exactly which are misplaced.

oh that's just some blue tack i sometimes use to hold things somewhat in place while I solder.
