Hey all,
I have two issues. One is a question about a possible error in the Large Beaver instructions. In the parts list, the b100k pot is listed as tone, but on the diagram it shows the b100k in the volume slot. Which is correct?
I built my Large Beaver to triangle specs. I am getting bypass signal and led on, but the on signal is very weak with lots of added noise and seems to have no fuzz. The ugly: I installed the rotary switch upside down and had to wick the solder and flip it. It didnt come super easy, and some on the prongs seemed to have some copper on the them. The silver rings from the pcb are all intact. When I reinstalled I used plenty of solder and it flowed well. It should be noted that the switch seems to work in that the positions when rotated right have noticeably more midrange.
This is my fourth build. I have double checked all component values. I have tested the transistors from base to. I have continuity from switch to pcb and pcb to out. I reflowed any weak looking joints. I checked for solder bridges. Any ideas? I need some fuzz!
Thanks!

Are you sure you have the slotted lock washer and the rotary switch set correctly?

Do you have a signal tester?

Switch is set correctly. I have a multimeter if that works for a signal tester.

Not trying to be hard on you, but that PCB is pretty rough looking. I would start by trying to clean up the solder splash, caked-up solder mask and many of the solder joints themselves. The areas around the tone and sustain pot wire connections to the PCB look particularly poor, as do the rotary switch connections on the top side of the board. I'd try gently scraping off the crud on the PCB with a small flat-head screwdriver, and then rinsing off the board with isopropyl alcohol. More guidance here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52188
