Hello

I need a little help I bought a ESV Fuzz PCB I got it all together wired for PNP but when I plugged it in to test it I engaged the switch the LED comes on then quickly burned out. I check all my solder joints replaced the LED and it did the same thing. I breadboard the circuit before I built up the PCB with out the LED and everything worked just fine any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dave

When LED's burn out, it's generally because either the wrong value current-limiting resistor (CLR) was installed, or there's a short between the LED and that resistor (R5 on the labeled PCB diagram below, 4.7 Kohms) that bypasses its current-limiting function.

Photos of both sides of the PCB would be helpful. They need to be large, well-lit, well focused shots for us to be able to see enough detail to troubleshoot effectively.

BTW, what are you using as a power source?

Thanks for the reply duhvoodooman
I went back and rechecked and I had a 4.7 ohm not a 4K7 I feel like a real dope  I replaced the the resistor with the correct one and everything is good now.

Very common error, so don't feel badly. Glad to hear it's working for you now....
