I am interested in the 69 mods for my fuzz face but there is one part i am not sure of. What does the 1k resistor in series with the .1uf cap do? (stock it's just the .1uf cap).

possibly roll off a bit of highs?

I also never use the DC jack and think maybe i can benifit if i switch to PNP, seems like there are more trannys availible.
