It looks like some solder joints are supposed to be connected but some are just very close to each other. Even under a magnifying glass I can't tell if these two joints are supposed to be connected or not. Thank you.

Can you verify the component names for me real quick? I'm going to look at the schematic and verify. Without looking, I would say, yes, they are connected. The guys at BYOC would not put non-connected pads that close together. But if you let me know the component numbers in question, I'll confirm.

Those are eyelets for R8 and R10, and yes, they're connected. Check out the labeled PCB diagram and accompanying schematic in THIS THREAD.
