Hey all,
New chancellor build is not coming on or giving me any sound. Initial troubleshooting led me to find I had swapped input and ring on the input jack. Other than that, I can't see anything wrong with it. Would that swap kill it it somehow?
I'm bummed. I was really excited for this one.

No, that wouldn't kill it. Could you please post photos of the build? They need to be LARGE, well-lit, well focused shots of both sides of the PCB and all of the jack and switch wiring.

Could definitely clean up the flux, now that I see it in some nice morning light. [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]ImageImageImageImageImage

I don't see anything out of place, so I would suggest working through THIS PROCESS next, and clean up that flux, as well. I think I would redo the solder joints on that input jack, as well--they look pretty gnarly.

Do you have access to a multimeter and know how to measure DC voltage with one?

We have those here! :) :D

(Sorry for the delayed response. I've been busy.)

I reflowed all my joints and clean up the flux. I'm getting signal/effect now, but still no LED. Polarity is correct. I'm going to try flowing again. Revisiting the solder too many times makes me nervous. I tend to mess things up, overheating or accidentally breaking something.
I do have a meter and know how to use it. (I work in electronic systems. Component level is a hobby.)

The LED itself may be bad/burned out. Agree that you need to be careful with repetitive solder re-flows.

One other thing to check is the solder joints on lugs 1 & 2 of the footswitch, since that is the ground path that's required for the LED to light. Suggest that you check for continuity between lug 1 and ground when the switch is in the engaged position.

LED was backward! The flat part on the PCB is oriented wrong. 100% working now. Holy cow, that is a lot of gain! Thanks for the support!

Glad to hear you've got everything working correctly!

Don't go by the silkscreen shape on the PCB. The instructions specifically say that the long leg of the LED goes in the hole with the square solder pad.

Yeah, I'm kicking myself over it. I knew better. I bet I'll remember next time!
