I just recently completed the full circle bass fuzz, but its not actually making any noise when engaged. when I hit the foot switch it makes a massive popping sound, and the led lights up, but no sound at all comes out of it. it does pass signal when not engaged though

Have you tried reflowing your solder joints yet? If not, that's a great place to start.

Additionally, you can trim a lot of your component leads and hookup wire much more closely to the solder joint on your board and on the foot switch; excess conductive material is always an invitation to shorts.

Ok so I redid all of the solder joints, but this time when I tested it it generated a loud buzzing noise in both on and off modes. Any ideas?

You either have a short on one of the wires or traces that routes your bypass signal between the jacks and footswitch. Or you aren't getting a proper ground connection to one of the jacks.

Ok so I put it back in the enclosure to ground it and that took care of the gigantic buzz, but there is still no effect signal after redoing all the solder joints. What can I try next?

Do you have access to a multimeter and know how to measure DC voltage with one?

I'd like to see what the DC voltage levels are on the three legs of the transistor. To measure the DC voltage level on the transistor legs, set your multimeter to the DC voltage mode; use the 20VDC range setting if it's not an auto-ranging meter. Put the black probe into one of the corner screw bosses of the enclosure--this is your ground connection. Then touch the red probe to the point that you want to measure. Of course, your power source needs to be connected and there needs to be a cable in the input jack. Read the DC voltage level on each of the three legs and report the results here.

Well, erm, before I broke the left leg off the transistor trying to straighten it out it measured the left leg as .00, the middle was .00, and the right leg was .01-.03 but at one point measured .30 somehow

You should get an NPN transistor. Almost anything. Silicon is fine. 2N3904 or 2N5088. Use that till you get it working.
