Hi. I have built the Large Beaver Ram's Head, v2 with the toggle switches for removing the tone stack and for scooped/flat/boosted mids.

If its possible can someone help with some mods? Maybe it's a few caps replaced to achieve what I am looking for?

What I would like is the scooped kept as is but where the flat mids is in the switch, I'd like it less scooped (like halfway or 2/3 the way to flat), then where the boosted mids switch is I'd like flat mids.
I never use boosted mids, and even the flat mids can be too much, since I use a middy amp already.
Thanks

Not hard at all. You'll need to move one cap and substitute a new one for the other. Refer to the marked up PCB diagram below and do this:

  1. Remove the 47n (473) cap.
  2. Move the 8.2n (822) cap to where the 47n cap was.
  3. Obtain and install a 2.7n (272) cap where the 8.2n cap was. (BYOC sells them HERE)

Done! The "hump" position of the switch will now give the flat EQ response, and the "flat" switch position will split the difference between flat & scooped. I used the Duncan Tone Stack Calculator for the Big Muff tone circuit to size the 2.7n cap, so it should be extremely close to the halfway point.

Great mod! Worked out the mids just the way I wanted them.

I want to give an update after a few days playing it after the mods, and at volume.

Terrific, I am extremely satisfied with the tone of the pedal, great for leads and rhythm.

Thanks duhvoodooman for your help.
