Classic problem - bypass sound works fine, but nothing comes through when footswitch is engaged. When all three pots are all the way up when switched on there is a hiss through the amp, but not sure if that's indicative of anything useful. Have been over the instructions several times and can't find anything obvious(to my inexperienced eye) wrong. Tested all the resistors and confirmed they are correct, but I'm not 100% sure how to test anything else. Pics of board attached - my first electronics soldering project so, it's possible I did something sloppy. Thanks!

Hi, and welcome to the forum! We'll be glad to help. Thanks for posting high quality photos; that is a huge help in the troubleshooting process.

I don't see any component placement errors. Your problem is usually caused by a poor solder joint somewhere and is almost always solved by reflowing all the solder joints. This post has more details about that.

Great, thanks! I reflowed some of the footswitch joints, but I'll go back over it and do everything.

Not sure if anyone will see this, but I reflowed the joints, and now it works, with one small caveat. The only time I can get any sound from it is when the bias pot is turn to at least 90% - I do not think it worked like this before, but it is possible it was working that way the entire time. Is that something that could still be caused by a bad joint somewhere ?

Any chance you have the bias and volume pots mixed up?

My first thought was there is no way I transposed the pots - but I checked anyway, and that was totally it! Thanks so much for the help, had a lot of fun building this, definitely going to get more!

Great! Glad you got it working. And as we often say: welcome to your new addiction.
