I have a Lil Russian Beaver build that has a loud POP when the footswitch is pressed. The sound isn't just a noisy switch, it's signal noise coming out very loud from the rig. Now, I upped the input and output caps to 1uF in an attempt to build a bass fuzz pedal. Simple enough, a quick trick that works for some circuits. Is there any chance that my mod is causing this? Other have suggested that R1 is too low and should be at least 1M. I also have this circuit wired in with a Buff n Blend PCB by GuitarPCB. The blend works great and so does the Fuzz. Aside from this loud POP, it was great. I tested and mailed it out, only getting this report of the noise after receipt. I am rebuilding the pedal to ship out without the 1uF caps and will make sure that all ground pads are wired up as I did leave the audio jack grounds empty as I was wiring with the blend pcb. I didn't see these as a problem not having a wire in them as I had other grounds being used for the circuits. Thoughts?... I will attach Schematics.
