What goes where? Does the SI go in Q1 or Q2? If I use either of my GE's in Q2, the lowest I can bias is 8.5.

Here's a nother question:
With both GE's same thing, I can't bias lower than 8.5. Is this a problem I should be trying to remedy?

The bias needs to be set when you're playing thru the pedal. So make sure you have your guitar plugged in and strum it normally and the while the guitar's signal is going thru the pedal, check the bias.

The stock trim pot may need to be changed if you want to get to 4.5v. I always use 100k trim pots mounted externally on mine.

The Si is higher gain than the Ge, so I reckon it should be Ge in Q1 and Si in Q2. I had no problems biasing the transistors in this configuration.

I use a 25k trimpot to set the bias in my FF, but I have heard of folks using anything from 50k to 100k. I feel you should try to use as small a value as possible, otherwise it can become hard to hit the sweet spot and keep it there.

Wow, I didn't know that. Thanks
