Can someone explain to my why we do the Jumper from LUG3 to LUG6 on the looper kit.

Isn`t the effect of this simply to connect the FX loop to ground when the pedal is in bypass?

Why do we ground the FX loop when in bypass?

It can help prevent popping by discharging DC build up at a circuit's input, and also prevents high gain pedals from oscillating as they sometimes do with an open input.
