After a hugely successful build of my "Large Beaver" I found myself in need of the ABY switch.

So I carefully built the pedal and gleefully ran into the house to try it out and NOTHING!!!! Just a buzz from one of the amps.

Disappointed I sat it down for a few days and finally got back to it last night. I re-flowed all the solder joints (with the ICs removed) and checked everything I could.

THEN - while reading the instructions for anything I missed....I finally found the problem. I had the IC's in the wrong socket before and after the re-flow (specifically IC5 and IC2 were flipped). I failed to notice that one was different....

Yup - problem solved - it works now. Joy!

When I throw the isolation switch on "B" I get a lot of noise from the amp -not sure what that is about yet - but the switching part works great.

Hopefully this post will help someone in the future - WATCH the IC Placement!
