So I built the TMB18 channel/effects loop footswitch yesterday, and it works fine with a battery, but not with the 9V jack. It's wired up like the diagram:

http://byocelectronics.com/tmb18channelselector.pdf

My hunch is that on the 9V jack, the battery + lead should go where the 2 resistors are soldered, and the 2 resistors should go where the battery + is soldered. Can anyone confirm that this will fix my problem?

On a side note, the channel switch does not work at all UNLESS there's something (either an effect or even just a cable) hooked up to both Send and Return jacks. Not a huge problem, I just put a short cable in each effects loop, but you would think that it should have been designed with those 4 jacks (Send 1, Return 1, Send 2, Return 2) to be of the "shorting" type to be able to switch channels without having to use the FX loops...

Yes, you need to swap those two terminals.

Awesome, thanks Keith! Just a suggestion: update the layout diagram. ;)

We're working on it now. You're the first person to ever bring this to our attention.
