I see. Now I have experience programming chips and have a chip reader/writer. Is there any possibility in the future that the program code might be open sourced, to allow tweaking like this?
BTW- this is such a great pedal and was really easy to put together, excluding the leds lol those are hard to line up. But this is going to be so cool to use live.
No. I use a 3rd party compiler, so even if you had the code, it still wouldn't be "open source". Regardless, I wouldn't make it public.
The code for the super8 isn't really complicated though. It's not like creating tap tempo for a delay where you need to use interrupt commands and create look up tables for digital pot wiper positions and their relation to delay time. It's just simple button press commands, if/then statements, and hi lo commands to turn LEDs on and off. It's just a lot of code. Oh...and reading and writing to the on-board EEPROM, so I guess it isn't that simple.
Anyhow....if you wanna write your own code, I'm willing to give advice. I'm not very proficient in C based languages though, which are what you would use with the Microchip freeware or Arduino. But I can help with the logic.
