They look to be transistors. But that's not what I was talking about. Look a little closer.

We have a winner!!! I don't know what the deal is with the dual pots. Never seen anything like it before. It looks like there's a jumper connecting them in series too. It's got me scratching my head.

My best guess by tracing the wires is that the footswitch switches it between being a wah pedal and a volume pedal.

I guess there is no way to completely bypass it??

My guess would be that's a little easier to do. You either want to switch out all the wah components when switching to volume or you can just switch to another pot.
Oh wait - there's no switching between the two is there? Maybe this model modulates volume along with the wah filter? If so, a dual gang pot would do it. Can't tell what exactly is going on there but I see the switch goes to the wiper of one pot and to the northern outer lug of the other. They must be running in parallel.
