I've never been fly fishing, but I'd love to learn. I grew up in Kansas, and there aren't a whole lot of opportunities to learn fly fishing there. Its mainly bass and catfish, with some walleye and crappie and a few others.

Some of my best memories involve spending time with my father and brother, fishing out in the middle of nowhere. One such memory - there's a lake in Colorado called Rainbow Lake...it was one of the most beautiful locations I've been to. Lots of hiking trails and what not. The trout fishing was a lot of fun, too.

*sigh* I'd rather be fishing than working today.

I suppose I should have said "with your favorite beverage"

actually, my favorite way to fish is when it's hot out and my wife sunbathes on the front of the boat while I fish off the back.

LOL! Reminds me of first season South Park, when the kids go hunting with uncle Jim.

I don't usually fish just to fish (except once on a sport fishing trip out of New Bedford, MA) but there's often fishing involved with boat trips in Buzzards Bay area (in between the Cape and the Islands), and on kayaking/camping trips. There's nothing like catching a fish, fileting it fresh, and grilling it on a fire.
