Yeah, that's a rough one. Definitely the sweet spot of my era. Stings in a weird way more than Cobain because he made it into his 50s, and even though it was a premature death (suicide or OD both possibilities, sadly), he didn't die "young" and that makes me feel a little old on top of being sad to lose such an icon.

I was into Soundgarden because of Kim Thayil's guitar chops, and Chris was simply the best Rock Vocalist ever IMHO. Very sad to hear the news, and the manner of passing.

Loss for the rock world, can't imagine what Kim is thinking or feeling right now not even 24 hours since their last performance.
