We are staying.

We are as prepared as we can be.

We have food, water and a generator with fuel standing by.

What I'd like to ask for is your prayers.

For the storm to move as far to the east as possible.

For all the people affected by the storm to date and yet to come.

Mostly for all the National Guard, military, first responders and utility workers as well as all the volunteers who will all do their part in the weeks to come.

Make no mistake.

This one is bad.

Unfortunately, Irma has changed course and is now projected to pass right up Florida's west coast, right where our buddy Scooter is.

Best wishes man - stay safe!

Yeah...
Don't know where his house is,but I did a google map search of the address of his business...
It doesn't look very far from the water...
Man, I am hoping that when Irma changed direction, they changed their minds and got out...

Power restored at our house, still out at the workshop.

No wifi, sketchy access to internet.

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes.

Full report later.

Swiped from my wife's Facebook page...

Things I learned from Irma:
* We have too much stuff.
* I actually like my neighbors and enjoy talking to them.
* Don't wait for an emergency to make repairs around the house or have your affairs in order.
* We consume too much - food, electricity, stuff, etc.
* We have great friends near and far who care about us deeply.
* I am grateful.
* Our family will kick ass in the zombie apocalypse. We are tough! We are smart! And we work hard to take care of ourselves and each other.
* There is a lot of good in this world. Turn off the news and experience it for yourself!
* Hurricanes suck.

A scary thing to go through, but it could have been S-O-O-O-O much worse. Glad to see you guys didn't suffer any major damage. Now go get all those leaves outta the pool!! :wink:

Scary indeed! Glad to hear you guys made it through relatively unscathed. Hopefully this was a 'unique' experience and doesn't become a common occurrence! :)

Love the meme btw :)
