Currently only in the prototype stages of development. What do you think?

I think he needs to turn off the distortion.

If you're going to show off the sound of your strings, it needs to be a clean sound.

The idea is interesting though. I constantly fiddle with the trem setup (I like mine to float) to get a whole chord to detune - never works. I can get the higher three strings set up well, but never the low ones.

Interesting? Maybe.

I think this is going about it the wrong way.

The underlying problem is the bridge, not the strings.

The Steinberger TransTrem for instance, does this perfectly.

In any case, you can achieve a much more reliable result with any whammy pedal on the market.

To clarify, I mean a Fender trem. I realize other trems are better at this, but I generally hate them (ok, hate is a big word: dislike). Whammy pedals are good, but sound artificial when I use them (but listen to the lead on Gilmore's "The Blue" for a perfectly awesome sound).

The next big thing in strings should be self-tuning ones mandatory on all Guitar Center guitars. This is pretty cool, too.
