Hi y'all!

Where have I been? The past couple of years had found me lost in the vortex of eurorack modular addiction. Buying, trading, patching, patching...more patching. I've been back to Asia three times, built a chicken coop the size of a small house, was promoted to the position of Lead Tech in our cath lab, fulfilled the dream of seeing Slowdive play live, installed new flooring in our house, and last night made my first batch of hard cheese.

And all the while doing my best to ignore the rather impressive stash of parts, components, PCB's, enclosures, and knobs. The spoils of a dozen forum group buys. The drawer of precious transistors purchased from rnagoda. The spools of rainbow colored wire. The cold and neglected Hakko...

Oddly, I never tried any synth DIY. I don't think I've soldered anything in a good two years. I don't even remember why I stopped. I miss it. I want back in.

Is this to be an empathy test? Capillary dilation of the so-called blush response? Fluctuation of the pupil. Involuntary dilation of the iris...

Or do I just get "jumped" back in? Walk down the line and everyone pummels me with thier irons?

The latter sounds a lot funnier.

Glad to see you back!

FWIW, I have seen some DIY synth stuff on here so I know it's a thing.

Yeah, there's plenty of amazing DIY over at the Muffwiggler forum. Really incredible stuff if you can solder SMT.
