Build Your Own Clone Message Board

When I look at the pedals I built, i feel like I’m a parent looking after these units. I helped these pedals to be born. Of course I can’t take all the credit since the parts were supplied to me and it’s not my design but I know what’s inside these pedals like how a parent knows how the child was developed in the womb. Or at least monitored the growth during the pregnancy.

I don’t feel that same connection with a store bought pedal like a Boss pedal for example (even though they’re still great pedals). There is that connection to a pedal you built and you feel like that you’re the parent of that pedal.

As a disclaimer, I never had any kids so I just imagine what it’s like to be a parent. So this is my closest experience since I gave life to these pedals.

That’s about right. Anytime I’ve sold any of mine, I felt better after I built another one, or anytime I’ve built for anyone, I’ve built one for myself after the fact.

Pedals are kind of like people. They have their innards just like how people have innards and they are individuals units. People are kind of like clones too in a way.
