Thanks.

Not sure what details you're looking for. This started out as quasi-experimental, so it has a bunch of cheap parts that were only intended for a proof of concept, but then I got into it and started to get cool, so I'll probably upgrade things to really finish it off.

It's a walnut body blank, mostly hollowed out, with a cedar top. Finished with Tru-oil. The pickups are Guitar Fetish "Nashville Minitrons" which are their mini humbucker (Firebird-sized) toaster tops of the low output variety. I think they sound pretty cool from what I can tell so far...an awful lot of jangly sparkle for being true humbuckers. The rest of the electronics are a basic 3-way switch with volume and tone.

The neck is also from Guitar Fetish, and it has some significant problems--which is why I can't completely evaluate the rest of the sound. It's backbowed, fingerboard is cracked, etc. I could theoretically fix it, but I don't think I care to polish this turd any further and will either make a new neck for it or get a Warmoth.

Too bad to fix with a truss rod adjustment?

Well, it sure looks great in that photo! Love the walnut body! 8)

It's slightly louder than a solid body, but it's definitely an electric.

The neck is beyond the realm of truss rod adjustment.

really cool looking! I love the tortoise/celluloid binding, where did you source that?

Thanks everyone.

That binding is from ebay. Someone called "musicianoutfitters." I usually get stuff from Stew Mac or LMII, and I'd have way more confidence that I'm not getting junk from them, but they have like a $30 or $40 surcharge for shipping celluloid. Not their fault, but damn...

That said, this stuff is great. Not sure if it's actually celluloid. I guess I could set some scrap on fire and see, but I've always used CA for gluing binding (at least since my first debacle with the cement that partially melts celluloid) and it doesn't care whether it's celluloid or ABS or whatever.
