I was excited when I first read that article label. Then I read this in a mid-2021 article about their audiophile 300B tube production:

"The original 300B vacuum tube, a longtime favorite in high-fidelity, is now available for direct purchase from Western Electric and authorized dealers worldwide. After two years of factory construction, assembly line setup, and staff training, early batches of electron tubes shipped from October 2020 to January 2021. Western Electric has since shifted to regular production in order to meet record demand from overseas distributors and to stock up for a new online store. The price for one matched pair is $1,499. Single tubes and matched quad sets are also available."

Guess we'll just have to see what they plan to charge for a 12AX7 or 6L6GC....

Well, when you put "audiophile" on anything, reason often goes out the window.

For people who, as the old saying goes, "have more dollars than sense."
