By the way, since you mentioned in a troubleshooting thread that you're unlikely to play through your own Orange Distortion again, I was wondering: what are your pedals of choice?
I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I honestly don't play that much anymore. I'm not in a band. I haven't been in a band in years. I'm not really inspired by any new music, so I haven't been learning anything new lately. I'm still somewhat obsessed with the pursuit of tone, but not the guitar itself, if that makes any sense. The only time I really play electric guitar is when I'm testing a pedal or amp or testing parts in circuit. Usually, when I play guitar because I actually want to play, it's acoustic. Probably because I've usually been drinking and just feel like strumming chords and singing my fool head off rather than wanking out unaccompanied solos. But when I do play electric just for the sheer joy of playing, I pretty much always have a Crown Jewel, Spring Reverb, Echo Royal, 5 knob compressor and Maggie at the ready and will inevitably start digging through boxes of pedals for a chorus and fuzz of some sort at some point.
