"Special Edition Custom Telecaster FMT HH"
I think Fender should have given it a more appropriate name... Something like the 'Fender LP'? :P This guitar has Gibson LP written all over it. From the woods they to used to the fixed neck and pick up choices, the list goes on. I purchased it from Sweetwater and had the neck Plek'd before they shipped it out. I must say this is the smoothest neck have ever played on. I was skeptical about dropping the extra cash on the Plek job, but no regrets. I must say I fell in love with the looks of this guitar before anything else. I was in the market for a 'traditional Tele' when I stumbled on this one (thank you "DVM" ). The more traditional Tele will just have to wait a little longer.

Thanks for looking!
-=Steve0

Super cool. Love that color! Remind me what goes into pleking a neck?

Thanks Scott!
Here is the internet definition: "Pleking is the computer-controlled removal of the warped, bowed, or cupped wood sections from a guitar’s fretboard using a Plek machine. This allows for a more genuine, flatter surface on which the strings can vibrate, resulting in optimum playability and sound."
There is a excellent video on YouTube that covers the process in a quite a lot of detail. It can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvUm0KbeO-E
Sweetwater gets $299.00 for the service and as far as I am concerned, it's worth every penny.

Um, DVM is short for duhvoodooman (or doctor of veterinary medicine). DMV = Department of Motor Vehicles, the last place most people want to spend time, with the possible exception of the dentist's chair.

Thank you! Sounds very LPish. My LP has a pair of Alnico humbuckers and the Fender has Seymour Duncan '59 in the neck position and a Pearly Gates+ at the bridge. I believe the fender has a little more growl all the way around than the LP. I wish I had a Gibson LP to A-B it with. But alas, that comparison will have to wait for now.
