...for a guitar with this feature set:

  • Solid body, single cutaway, dual humbucker configuration
  • 1-piece roasted maple neck, 4-bolt mount, with Indian rosewood fretboard, abalone fret markers, rolled edges & satin finish
  • Mahogany body, contoured, w/ belly cut
  • Hand-polished stainless steel frets; fret ends rounded and hand-dressed
  • Bone nut, perfectly cut
  • 9.5” - 12” compound fingerboard radius, truss rod adjustment wheel @ bottom of neck
  • Staggered height locking tuners; smooth, precise and rock-solid tuning stability
  • 2-point tremolo w/ adjustable-tension pop-in bar
  • Dual humbuckers w/ individual push-pull pots for coil splitting
  • Great set-up with medium action and excellent intonation; ready to play out of the box
  • Solid feeling pots and 3-way mechanical pickup selector switch
  • ElectroSocket jack plate
  • Beautiful, blemish-free duochrome finish

In short, premium level features that are well executed throughout. Pretty sure that if the headstock said Gibson, Fender or PRS you'd be looking at $2000 minimum....if you could find a guitar with all these features. I just bought one....for $360. Meet the M Musi Virgo Fusion: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B586HK5P?re ... ct_details

Check out the YouTube video reviews and prepare to be stunned & amazed with what's coming out of China these days for under $400. Scary!! In a good way!!

Daaaammmn, that’s pretty sexy. Kind of a modified Tele body style.

Sounds awesome! Is it on the way, or do you have it in hand now?

It's sitting in my lap as I type this. Looks great, feels great, plays great and sounds great. The neck in particular is freaking INCREDIBLE. How they can do this for $360, including getting it across the Pacific Ocean from China, just boggles the mind!

The bridge humbucker resistance is 8.9K and the neck is 8.1K, so pretty vintage-y. If you like hot humbuckers, you might want to drop an aftermarket set into the guitar, but I don't see anything else that it needs, with the possible exception of a string tree for the B and high E. And what do they go for, $5 - $10?

Here's a photo taken of the top of the guitar so that you can see how the changing viewing angle makes this metal flake duochrome paint look blue straight on but purple as the viewing angle decreases. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I like it a lot (not surprising since purple is my favorite color!).

Decided to go ahead and add a string tree for the B and high E strings, which had quite a shallow break angle without one:

Looks like a pretty cool guitar for the money. I am truly amazed at what $400 will get you in a guitar these days. I have a NGD post I should probably make at some point that fits this theme...

Beautiful guitar sir!!!
I was so impressed with your description and review of it, I jumped on to Amazon and guess what? NGD for me!!!
I opted for their "Virgo" offering, not having one "Tele" style guitar in my arsenal. I know, sad.
You are correct though, it is a lot of guitar for under $350.00!! Thanks for sharing!!

Looks cool, SteveO! That neck pickup looks like a Strat style maybe?

Headstock looks vaguely like a Languedoc (which is based on the shape of the state of Vermont).

Nice snag there, SteveO! The Virgo Classic is another great value from M Musi! I actually started looking at that one when I was considering a different conventional T-type...but that's another story!

Just an uncovered Tele neck style pickup, as I understand it. A bit too small for an S-type. Removing the typical chrome plated metal cover gives the pickup a bit more bite & presence, something that many Tele players would like to have at the neck position.

And it appears to come with a case too? Damn.

Is it hardshell or press board?

No, the case was purchased separately. Just an OCD thing for me. If I buy a guitar, it needs to have a case. :P
The case is a Gator hard shell.

EDIT: The case that is in the picture is a press board. The one I ordered with the guitar is a hard shell.
