Because I'm a bit weird, I celebrated by finishing wiring up my dim-bulb current limiter / power meter:

The toggle switch is to bypass the bulb to run the attached device at full power.

Note that the wall power in Australia is (at least in theory) 240 V AC at 50 Hz.
Does the gut shot rule apply for something like this?
