So my son and I just completed a 3-week tour of 12 of the big western national parks in celebration of his recent successful completion of law school. He'll be starting a clerkship with the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in NYC next week. As it happened, our route from Glacier NP to Mt. Rainier took us right by Richland WA, so I contacted Keith and he was able to rendezvous with us at a local restaurant for a couple of beers. After many years of association here on the forum and building several BYOC amps and COUNTLESS pedals, it was such a pleasure to finally meet "the Boss" face to face! The meeting was all too short as we had to keep moving on to our destination, but it's a great memory for me and I hope for Keith, as well. My son snapped the photo attached below. Keith is the tall one and I'm the good-looking one!

So cool! That's really awesome. You two have both played a role in me getting into a super fun hobby, and I'm sure that's true for many others.

Congrats to your son, too!

Great photo. Congrats to your son.

I just realized that a few weeks ago was my 18th year here on the forum.

Thanks DVM for reminding me of all of the great times and great people I've hung out with while I've been around here.

It was really good to finally meet you, Bob. Too bad it was so brief.

Dang Bob, what a cool 3 weeks and congrats to your son. Those parks are so great. I can see doing that as well with my better half when I retire.

I'm guessing there was a lot of planning in the logistics of that trip!

Yeah, a ton of it. Worth the effort though, because the whole trip went very smoothly. Other than having to reroute getting into Crater Lake NP due to a nearby wildfire, we basically had zero problems the whole trip.
