I'm really sorry, guys. We are so behind on orders. The outpouring of support was overwhelming. And last week was Jim's last day. So now it's just me. I'm sorry I haven't been able to contact people individually. I'm expecting to have order finished by the end of the week.

Keith, I figured that was what was happening. Thanks for the update, no problem. And thanks again for all the cool stuff over the years.

I should’ve checked here first. You can ignore the email that ends in 92 about my recent order [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND COLD SWEAT]

I got an email advising that my order has been cancelled. Did you run out of stock?

Same here- mine said it was canceled at my request? I didn't request a cancelation! Or was that just a form letter? Or did Analogmike get everything?

The refund is already pending in my account so seemingly the order has been cancelled and not a form letter.

I was wondering the same thing. After going through 2 hurricanes in two weeks and looking forward to receiving my order after my ordeal, I find an email that I cancelled my order. Of course I did not. I made my order the day it was announced BYOC was going out of business and everything I ordered was still in stock. So much for being a loyal customer who purchased and built 15 pedals. Maybe this type of customer treatment is why BYOC went out of business.

I'm sure your order being cancelled sucks but that seems a bit harsh.

Wow, can’t have your way so you flame the guy? Bad form.

Understood, it’s all good. Just to confirm, if I got an email that my order was cancelled, I shouldn’t reorder, right? I was hoping to get a dry blend board and whatever modules are still labeled in stock, and they still say in stock on the site, but I got a cancel email yesterday.

Now that I'm out of limbo on my final two orders, I wanted to say thank you to Keith for everything you've done for this hobby. The work and dedication you've put in for years is beyond what anyone really could or should have expected and you were instrumental in getting a lot of people more involved in the hobby. I know that I certainly appreciate a pedal I built myself over one that I just clicked "Buy" on from one of the "big guys."

I do, however, have a question for you:

Will you be keeping the website up as a resource/forum? If not, is there any possibility of you publishing a book/ebook of all the supplmental/support info for the pedals (parts list, instructions, diagrams)? I know that I, for one, would be happy to pay for an ebook or a physical book that would lay flat (like a spiral bound) that I could use for future endeavors.

That said, thanks again for all you've done and I wish you well in your future endeavors!

I'm really sorry, Big O. We weren't prepared for the volume of orders we received. There was a miscommunication and a large swath of orders were not processed in the order they were received. By the time we realized it, we were out of most inventory and a couple hundred people who ordered within the first 24 hrs had to have their orders cancelled.

I understand your frustration and disappointment. I hope you'll forgive us. Regardless, thank you for all your business. I really can't express how much I appreciate it.

I'm really sorry. No. The "commerce" part of the website is shut down.

I'll keep the website up as a resource for the people who still have kits they need to assemble. I'll eventually move all the links and landing URL here and get rid of the commerce site.

Keith, if you ever need hosting space down the line I can put up the BYOC resources long term, totally gratis. I've got plenty of space so it costs me nothing.

No worries. Grateful I was able to explore this hobby, and learn about building circuits in general, through what you built. Best wishes for whatever comes next.

Don’t worry, I do forgive you. It was not so much the disappointment in not receiving the order, but the lack of communication and then a message that I was the one who cancelled the order that was somewhat accusatory towards me (and others who received the same message). That is what upset me, but now that you have provided a cogent and well meaning explanation, I am totally fine with that. I guess it all came down to the tone of the message (I spent some time looking for the email where I cancelled the order and didn’t find it). I wish you luck and good will in your future endeavors.
