After 3 builds that worked straight away, I plugged this one in and...nothing. The bypass worked but nothing when the footswitch was activated. Opened it up and the battery was almost too hot to touch!

I finally figured out I had switched a couple wires running from the AC plug and input jack that ran to the PCB. Switched them and all is well.

The pedal sounds great. My wife says it is her favorite one I've built so far and that it has a "Manchester/Paul Weller" sound. This is excellent because the more I can be like Paul Weller, the more she likes it hahaha.

Obligatory guts pic. I took this before I tested it. I have highlighted where I had the wires switched. Don't do it this way!

Of course I had to use a picture of Shredder for his namesake pedal:

And a family shot of the 4 BYOC pedals I ordered in the December sale:

I am thouroghly addicted to these pedal kits and have ordered the Ping Pong Delay. I also have a list of 4 more for when they have another sale. :D

Another huge thank you to the contributors on this board. There is no way I would have been able to build these without the help and information here!

Great stuff you've got there. Encouraging others to build pedals is like convincing them to have kids. You have no idea what fun and expense you are in for...
