So this weekend I was down in my hometown to attend a funeral. In May my fathers mothers sister turned 100 years old!
Naturally she passed away.

Right after the funeral I found this on bottle, only had it on tap before. It was still awesome

Superlocal lagerish Ale, nothing special.

Camden versus Mohawk black IPL, read the description below. Black India Pale Lager? First taste was IPA, then porter, then aftertaste of a superhoppy IPA. Exciting!

Image

Image
A smoked double bock at 7,5%, was quite good but not great.

Then follows the new fourpack from brewdog starting with Jackhammer
Image
Image

It wasn't THAT bitter, just really good and strong at 7,2%.

Image
At only 3,8% this was really full in taste and nothing you could just culp down in one go.

Image
AMAZING black ale at 7,2%

Image
Image

10%, the best brewdog beer I've ever tasted, find it, and buy it!!

The Holy Grail Part 1.
So I've decided to tap into the very last 5 beers I have stored the longest, this is the last of the greatest.

#5 Djevlebryg Gudelos, a fantastic almost spicy imp stout. After 4,5 years in the back of the fridge it was supersmooth and amazing, and you couldn't tell it was so strong at all.

Image
Image

#4 Traquair, dark oily Ale, borderlining on a barley wine. 4 years made wonders to this one, the sour taste was completely gone and no way you could tell this was 10%.

Image
Image

#3 Slottskällan imperial stout. 5 years in storage brought tears to my eyes. 9% and pure bliss in every sip, I will miss these three badly, but I really really made the most of em.

Image

2 more coming up soon, then the great Kunfuz storage is empty, gone, finito. From 250 down to 2 in about 5 years...

Impressive. I've tried to hang onto some "keepers" in a controlled environment before but there was always a day I was out of beer and didn't want to go to the store and then - whoops - three weeks into my 2 year storage plan and they were all gone. Self control is a gift - good work man!

Thanks Rob!!
Didn't have the nerve to try number 2, so I poured my first ever Old Speckle Hen instead.
Ok, nothing special about it.

I'm crawling outta my grave  I've been a hermit lately, building some tube Amps and working like a dog. I quit my job because it was causing everything in my life to fall apart. I went back to my old plant with friends I use to work with and life is getting better. So my old/new partner at work picked this up for me last week and I had it last night. I got a lot of catching up to do and will bouncing around posting my projects.

This one is number 2/second last of the ones from the great storage that began in 2011.
I took it to celebrate the return of my thrashband Talion, playing live for the first time in 5 years.
Amazing.

This one I downed the weekend after, trying out a Kemper rack at at friends place.
The best milk stout I've tried yet, better than laft hand milk stout that was my prior favourite.

That last one looks like a bad head job that sucked...well....I guess it didn't suck or it would be a good head job...or..well...I don't know what I'm trying to say. I guess I like a good solid head with my beer 8)
