Got some PCBs made that are nearly exact replicas of the original DynaComp factory boards from the 70's.. I'm trying to re-create a beloved specimen owned by a recording studio wizard I know, who claims that his sounds better than every other identical unit he's tried. After a lengthy forensic analysis, here's the first prototype. Looking forward to A/Bing it with the original.

I must say, it was fun arranging a PCB where all the components are arranged to lay flat.. it's larger than it needs to be, but it looks quite fetching, and saves vertical space.

Lovely work. Is that hot glue I see all around the PCB?

Very cool, and looks like you had some fun doing the photography on it too!
Let us know how the A/B comparison goes.

Yup, normally I use board-mounted pots, but I find hot glue holds up pretty well for prototypes like this where I just want to keep things from moving around.
