So back in the late 90's, having a rack setup was a dream of mine that I just couldn't come close to affording. Finally starting in about 2001, I was able to start picking up used gear on ebay and build the rig I always wanted. Here's a pic circa 2006 after I condensed it from an 18sp rack with shelves and wireless junk:

It was probably about 2011 when the rack was covered for the last time. And in the corner of the jam space it sat, utilized as a beer shelf, for the past 7 years. Then I find an anvil rack on craigslist for $40 nearby. For some reason I was inspired to revive the rig in a smaller package and get rid of the extra junk (digital effects, tuner, etc). I ripped the Marshalls apart, giving them a full service with tubes, capacitors, pot cleaning, new fans, and whatnot.

I got rid of all the effects junk in the rack and I plan to use my current pedal board with this setup. But what my pedal board lacks is some spring reverb. I called up the folks at Mojotone and ordered one of their Fender stand alone reverb kits in GeekDaddy approved blue sparkle and connected it to the effects loop of the JMP1. Also ditched in this configuration is the midi control. I don't care about 128 presets. Marshall did make a proprietary foot controller for this guy that allows you to select between the first four presets. I built one of those and included it in my custom looper/buffer/controller I/O pedal (to be covered in a separate thread when the graphics are done).

Another thing to note is the awesome work I got from Frontpanelexpress.com on the custom back plate. I added a PWM control and a coupe of 12V 120mm exhaust fans along with the expected I/O ports.
