I believe I've been officially infected with the pedal-building bug! After building a Big Muff from a BYOC kit, I decided the next pedal I wanted was a Rat. It all worked the second time I plugged it in (the first time I plugged it in I had skipped the final step of seating the IC in the socket.)

I let my girlfriend choose the colors, yes the LED is pink too.

It has a huge range of tones! I love the way it sounds, and it interacts so well going into my Boss Blues Driver too. Less hiss/hum than the big muff, but the muff has a certain fullness in the low end that I think I prefer at the moment if I had to choose a favorite child.

I can't stop thinking about stompboxes, I want every flavor of overdrive/distortion/fuzz now. I want to get a Crown Jewel ASAP so I don't have too many spots on my pedal board taken up by different boxes.

Congratulations, you’re a builder. That looks great. There are so many pedals to build. There are lots of PCB sellers from which to choose when you decide to start sourcing your own parts.

Really nice work. I'm sure you'll love the Crown Jewel once you've built it, too... but what's this "too many" you're talking about? :P

Great looking build, very clean inside and out! Glad you're enjoying this. Pretty soon, you'll have a whole pedalboard full of stuff you built, which is a rewarding feeling.
