Thought I'd post a couple pics of some pedals I built with my son ! He did the wiring and I did the enclosure on the Large Beaver, and he did the entire chorus build . Love the Iron Maiden graphic he did !! These are actually the 3rd and 4th BYOC kits we've done !
He's 18 now, but the first 2 we built he was maybe 15 0r 16 and didn't play. Now that he plays I think he's really inspired to do more !!!
Thanks BYOC for providing the venue for some quality, and educational time with my Son !!
PS I just noticed it looks like he didn't solder one lug of a pot on the Chorus , ( top left of the pic ) Still works and we'll fix that right up this weekend !!

Jim

Father and son builds? For years? Love this so much! Great work, and solder up that pot!

I agree, this is super cool. I built a pedal or two with my son almost 10 years ago. He's a freshman in college now! Enjoy these days.

Very nice--both look great. And building them together with your son makes these pedals special!

Thanks folks !!! Soldered that Pot right up quick ! It must have been making just enough contact to work, but it would have obviously failed at some point and there's never a good time for that ! I also had him re-do the wire from the center /top of the switch ( pole 2 ? ) to the input....too much exposed wire....especially on the switch side.......came awfully close to the adjacent wire.....sometimes a third and forth look can reveal new little things to amend !!!

Thanks again for all the positive comments !
