So some of my projects may go to my Son to build. He’s a Junior studying Star Trek Math and electrical science. He was To build for his lab class project with science to back it so I’m putting things together. I have a Pasty face with a stash of GT 308’s to sort through for him and one for me. I have Germanium Diodes on the way for maybe a Klon and another OD-855. This is what I have coming:

D9B - According to the Atlas Peak it is the closest to 1N34A.
D9D - another alternative for 1N34A with slightly longer curve
D2E - Somehow more aggressive than the D9E.
D9E - many say this is the best option for a KLON.
D9K - slightly longer curve than the above, somewhere between a 1N34A and a 1N270.
D9L - medium curve, somewhere between a 1N34A and a 1N270
And ID507A’s
Using salvaged parts from my PowerPlant I started the enclosure for my JMK tester, enclosure from HighPressure module, brass block from zone valve, this covers knockout and nicely holds clips.

advanced Quantum Physics, string theory, etc. a single mathematical question is pages long and looks like ancient Star Gate drawings. Me, I didn’t get past algebra 1.

Two pasty faces on the bench, don’t know when I’ll get to them for myself but I’ll put a kit together for my Son. I don’t remember how or specs on trannies I used (hfe amount of each and order I did.) I’ll dig around papers

So I went through all those 308’s and although they had very small amount of leakage, all the gains were mid 30’s to 60  I went though my OC 83’s and I have enough for two or three Fuzz’s. I don’t know what I can use those GT 308’s for, damn. I put a pair in Darlington and got 400hfe on one pair  maybe play around and build a crazy fuzz
