I built an A/B switch from this Beavis design: http://tr.im/Q3LZ but I'm not getting any output and cannot figure out why. The LED is the only thing that is functioning; turning on and off when I click the switch. I did wire the jacks wrong at first, but I've rewired them and believe I've got it straight, yet I'm getting no sound through either output. Any help would be much appreciated.

wiring looks good aside from the power jack, you need to give it a ground from one of the jacks. if that doesnt fix it then you need to touch up the joints, the solder should flow smoothly into them.

Not sure if it is related to your problem, but why do you have a stereo plug for the in jack? Maybe you should use the other lug on it?

its no problem, hes using the sleeve as ground. the other lug(ring) is open because that's where the battery's ground connection would go to if he was using one.

I did as you said but its still not working... I connected my delay to one of the outputs and I can actually hear it switching through my amp... but only from one of the outputs... Could my switch be toast?

I'll have to take another look at this when I get home. It looks like lug 7 is not correct.

Counting them like this:

123
456
789

According to the drawing, it should be this:

1. Output A & Lug 8; 2. Lug 7 ; 3. - LED

4 Input ; 5 Ground ; 6 + Power

7 Ouput B & Lug 2 ; 8 Lug 1 9 NC

You grounded your input and outputs. Ironlion has your fix.

Thanks for the help guys, but unfortunately it's still not functioning. I corrected the switch wiring, yet I'm still getting the same results. I switched the input jack to mono, as I started to second guess everything, and I'm still trapped in a black hole.

Start from scratch. The wiring is no big loss for you really. Be careful with the rewiring of the power jack and you should be fine. If it's still not working - that means your switch is broken OR you're doing it wrong still.
