Post subject: 9V or 12V -- will it make a difference?

Hi I just built a Moody Mushroom Echo today. I am powering it with a 9V adapter right now, but the instructions say I could use a 12V.

Will a 12V make any difference? Will the effect be louder? Have more room before it starts overdriving?
