That's a reasonable mod to do. I approve.

I always replace the "skinny" type DC adapter jacks on pedals I buy or mod. Or add a proper DC jack to pedals that don't have one. It's not a crazy mod to make, especially if you're not in it for a speculative gain.

Totally agree. That and true bypassing stuff, or adding an LED indicator. You're not messing with the circuit so unless you're holding onto it for ultimate value to a collector, you've made it more useful.

It works, sounds great. one pathway had a small crack causing some good crackle. took me forever to find, and i still couldn't see it. just bridged witha lead and its good to go. thanks for the help throughout this thread, valuable information.

from the dead:

question about hte foot switch.
it uses a spdt. pole connected to output, throws connected to input and effect. the circuit is always connected to the input. my issue is, i can hear a faint wet signal when in bypass. does this make sense to you guys? i figured its the nature of the beast, either its noising up the ground, or somehow back feeding a bit of noise back to the input that is then routed to the output. its definitely the guitars effected signal and not white noise. I wanted to get your opinions before i put a 3pdt in it. and i might as well put a led in there too while i'm at it.

It can be somewhat common in these old bypass schemes to have that cross talk. You can just pop in another switch (3pdt or whatever) and wire it up like stock to see if it's the switch. Then just wire it up for true bypass. I wouldn't add an LED though; why reduce the value with another hole drilled in it; and it's not like you can't tell if it's on or not.

I don't think it would hurt to add true bypass, drilling for an LED...dunno if I'd do that but it's your baby.
Those pics are porn for sure!

I feel that way when I go back to old posts sometimes. And then I read my more recent ones and wonder if I learned anything after all!

10 years later, still don't know or understand ohms law. Just swap out components until it sounds good 8)
