A wonderful gift from Forrest. Love the features, design, the Asian iron seems ok, and there's a choke on this tiny one end. Love that. Gorgeous cab too. Sounded terrible. Ratty, gross. Forrest also included the schemo and JCM800 mods, which I did and now, it's a fun lil guy.

Cool.. I joined the forum because I want to learn to mod amps. Jet City amps are the ones I want to start with.. everyone says to go to BYOC and start with pedals so here I am. I did order a Jet City amp from GC so I could mod it but as it turns out the one I got is BFD modded already supposedly (it hasn't arrived yet). Maybe I can learn from it.

I didn't notice the modded area in your gut shots? Does it really sound like a JCM 800?

That was a "before" gut shot. It sounds JCM800 ish. A bit compressed, much better than it did, but to be honest I don't want to go back in there. The pots are cheap and flimsy, and tend to bend forward and backward as you maneuver for position.
