Hey fellas,

Quick question. My buddy is having me replace the input jack on his fulldrive 2. I'm having trouble finding a replacement jack that fits the looks and apparent functionality of this one. Image

It's a 3 lug mono input jack. Enclosed. The pedal only turns on if something is plugged into the input, so I assume it's switching??

I've put this kind of jack into a BYOC pedal before, but can't find it under the parts page. Any help leading me to a replacement jack??

Thanks,
Grant

Actually, it's a stereo jack, which might be why you didn't find it. It just isn't used for a stereo signal--the third (ring) connection is used to complete the power jack's ground path, which is why a cable must be inserted in it for the pedal to work.

In any case, here's what you want: https://buildyourownclone.com/collectio ... tereo-jack

You know, I found that stereo jack in the shop shortly after I posted the question. So that's how it switches! Thanks so much.

Yep, when an instrument cable is inserted into the jack, the ring "finger" of the stereo jack makes contact with the grounded sleeve of the cable plug, completing the ground path for the DC jack.
