Could someone be so kind to make a strip board layout of this schematic for me please?

Here is the full directions to the schematic above if it helps.

Though I think a layout like this would be MUCH easier than using terminal strips like they want.

Looking for a layout like this

Surprised no one is willing to help.
After looking at this for sometime I figured out how it works. Its basically a boost circuit driving a tube into overdrive.
My issue is im not very good at placing components onto vero from the schematic.
I understand whats going on Im just not good at designing the best layout.

I'm not much of a vero guy but if I get some time this weekend I may be able to make a 99Zulu PCB layout that you could order from OSH Park.

Already did it!

This is unverified, I made a brand new part for the tube socket, and have never built anything like this before so you build this at your own risk (but I'm planning on giving it a whack myself, so...).

Holy Crap! Thats amazing!
It looks like it will work!
I will have to try it out too!
If you beat me to it post in here if it works or not.
Also remember this thing pulls a massive amount of current. Use a 9v. power supply and not a battery.
9v batteries only last about 20 minutes in this thing.

Dumb question maybe, but how do I go about wording the PCB?

What dimensions do you use on SHO Park. Also what is C7 doing? It appears to have no traces connecting it to anything on the PCB

To order boards go to the OSH Park website, create an account and then upload the .brd file from the Google Drive folder the Tumblr links to. The web site figures out the dimensions from that file, you pay your money and then about two weeks later three purple PCBs will show up in your mail.

C7 is optional—it's a 100nF cap which goes between between the power and ground planes for additional AC ripple protection. I use MLCCs for this because they don't take up a lot of space.

Similar story with RPD; it's provided in case of switch popping. I was probably going to use 1M or 2.2M if I needed it.

VERIFIED!

One note: I'd definitely use a C-taper pot for the gain control on my next build. Sounds great as either an overdrive or a hell of a clean boost, though!

May have to box this one.

EDIT: thanks, DVM!

Nice job, Frag! Would love to hear that one.

Dude, you need to download IrfanView! It's free and oh-so-handy for viewing and manipulating image files:

Your image, cropped, reduced in size and saved in about 30 seconds, literally:

I have to try it out with my main rig but I'm pretty pleasantly surprised at how it sounded with my Strat into a Blackheart Handsome Devil.

Doesn't appear to be MacOS compatible. Thanks anyway, though!

EDIT: seem to be some websites I can use, though...

The reason why a C taper would sound better is because this actually is a two stage circuit. The first stage is basically a Zvex SHO Boost which is where the "Gain" is coming from. Its using the boost to overdrive the tube. A reverse Log is what is typically used in a Zvex Boost.
I'm thinking about doing something similar with a Bazz fuss, gonna add a boost stage in front of it and use the boost gain to control the gain of the pedal.

If all you need to do is resize, it’s quick in Preview. Tools > Adjust Size… then set the width accordingly, say 800px. I also have an Automator workflow to resize batches of photos instantly when needed.

Re-rail: I kinda want to build one of these!

What software did you use to make the PCB? I would like to try this out myself on a few schematics I have.

I've been using EagleCAD. From the looks of things, if I were to do it over, I'd probably start out on DipTrace.

You can get a free version; I forget the details, however.

Hey Thanks man! I downloaded it for Mac and its surprisingly very user friendly. It took me about a day to get familiar with the component list luckily theres only a handful we use in the stompbox world.
The only thing that is MUCH different that you would never figure out in a million years without a tutorial is how to export to a file that OSH can use. For Mac users its a 4 step process, plus a one time diptrace to OSH park rule configuration step the first time you do it.
For windows its three steps plus the one time configuration step if your doing it for the first time.
