so I'm trying to figure out how to use an audio probe to diagnose a build
I have probed this circuit and got sound up to r10 (510k)
after r10 the sound gets very dim. after c14 its very dim and very dim on the output of pin 7 on the 4558
all the solder joints look ok. I wondering if I am following the right path? and why would it be dim on all three paths?
any help would be much appreciated
( its hard to teach this old dog new tricks but I'm trying )

Tim

Following… I still don't know how to do this, either.

What's the circuit you're probing? Appears to be a delay, but which one?

this is the delay circuit. I bought off ebay and his website is no longer so...
I'm trying to understand what I'm seeing when using the audio probe.
when the volume drops considerable across a component is it due to the function of the component or is there a fault there somewhere?

I suspect it has something to do with this concept.

Thanks.. I swapped out the op amp and get signal all the way thru the circuit now but no effect at all. just the dry signal with effect engaged. so how would I probe to find this issue or is it even possible?

PT2399’s need 5 volts at pin 1 to work. Check that voltage.

ya all the voltages seemed ok. I got it working, forgot to ground out the potentiometers. but I was trying really hard to figure it out with the audio probe with no luck. . I can sort of follow the signal path with the probe but when I come across changes I don't know they mean, good or bad.
anyone know of a good tutorial or video on probing an effect pedal?
it would be nice to see a video describing what's happening
