I'm building an overdrive based off of the Electra Distortion and I want to add asymmetrical clipping using two LEDs and one 1n34 on the output shunt to ground. My question is when it comes to sound does it matter what order I put them in?
Example will there be a difference in sound if I put both LEDs in the same direction then the 1n34 in the opposite IE LEDs= Negative, Negative 1n34= Positive
Would that sound different then LEDs= Positive, Positive 1n34= Negative
And further would it even change if LEDs= Positive to Negative 1n34 negative or positive

I know basically depending on how their polarity is you will get positive asymmetrical or negative asymmetrical clipping respectively. Is there a big difference in how our ears will perceive that?

No. None of those scenarios will make any difference.
