This made sense for a bunch of reasons, and it seems to be a Fender that I could like. Just needed one channel, and one input. Going with the Classictone Supro Output Transformer compliment (35W) and a Vibrolux Power Transformer. Still need the OT. How's the layout look? Starting to find my way in Visio. Wanted to do a one channel, one input version, and changed the input to be something more standard than the original. Feel free to use the layout :)

Very cool! I just recently rehoused my 5E7 bandmaster into a 2x10 cab, making a 5F4 Super. Different circuit than yours (12AX7, treble/bass, fixed bias), but it's instantly become my favorite amp for the way it sits in the mix!

Thanks Tommy. The cathode resistor is going off board and screwed to the chassis, where it ought to be for heat sink.

I know nothing about amp builds, but I like watching them go by. :)

LOVE it in my Gibby clone and Big Bastard. Think I'm gonna go with a baxandall eq. Never liked the Fender tone/Marshall tone stacks.

I'd move the vol pot to the left next to the input jack. Then you can fly the .047 coupling cap off V1 pin 2 to the wiper of the vol pot and nix about 6 inches of wire. You're kind of crisscrossing the gain stages with the layout as it is now.

Taken under advisement, Counselor. Thank you :D

Is it just me or would that shunt the 2nd lug of the pot and that 47n cap off of the first (from the left) tube to ground?

That's a 4.7n cap. Pretty standard stuff, I think?

Nevermind, I figured it out—only the center lug of that terminal strip is grounded. Head removed from ass.

It's going to change. All this EQ'n and I need a recovery stage. Gonna untie those pins in V1 and add a cap and resistor....I'll post soon.

Sounds you're going to split that 1st triode into a could gain stages?

What's bugging me about the layout is the loop of red wire you have running off the .047 coupling cap. I would take the coupling cap off the board, fly it from pin 2 to the vol pot wiper, swap the positions of the bass & Q pots, twist the ends of the 470p and 220k resistors together, and attach the twisted end to the vol pot wiper. Then you have a nice clean feed from the V1 plate going in one direction. Also, I'd run the vol lug 3 blue wire straight to treble lug 2, then run the treble lug 2 blue wire straight to V2 pin 4. That'll also clean it up.

With apologies to Morgan, Here's the layout with modded input, baxandall with Q mod tone stack, and recovery stage. I'm just finding my way in visio, and amp layouts so forgive.
