I just finished up the pedalpcb Woodpecker and am getting the dreaded LFO tick. I have read that some ground the LFO circuit separately to help alleviate the issue and that others double the power filter resistor and cap.

I was wondering if I double R12 and C100 say to 200R and 250uF if that would help with the issue? Also would it help to up C4 to 250uF as well?

I have read this is a pretty common issue with this tremolo circuit.

It appears to me that increasing C4 would be better than C100 since C4 is dedicated to the LFO. It also looks like C1 is there in order to try and prevent tick. You might try playing with that value (it might effect the rate range).

Have you tried buffering the signal? I would try running a buffered pedal in the chain before the tremolo pedal to see if that gets rid of the tick.

I haven't tried buffering the signal yet. What type of pedal would you suggest, I don't really have a buffered input pedal.

I am going to also try to hook it up to my isolated voodoo power supply to see if that helps.

I wonder if the 2N2646 could be the issue, they seem very finicky.

Any pedal that has an IC in it (or even just about any pedal with a transistor) will buffer the signal when the pedal is engaged (convert the signal from high to low impedance). If you have a clean boost pedal, that would work great, but an overdrive will work fine. Just be sure to turn it on (any true bypass pedal is not buffered in bypass). The original EA Tremolo circuit from where this circuit was derived had a buffer before the trem section. I've seen it quite a few times where simply buffering the signal deletes the LFO tick.

I have a Varioboost I will give that a shot.
