Build Your Own Clone Message Board

So a friend asked me to fix his Pedal Monster Madhatter. It needed a switch and LED. I replaced the switch no problem. Wired up the LED and nothing. I verified continuity, I get good power, switch works well, and the pedal itself functions fine.

Thoughts?

The LED is either bad, installed backwards or not getting power.

I thought about that. I know it’s getting power and I tried wiring it the other way around and still nothing. Prior to installing it, I tested it and it is good.

I wonder if the current limiting resistor (CLR) isn't in the circuit somehow, and that's also what caused the original to blow. If you remove the LED from the pedal and re-test it, does it still work?
